Her choreography is challenging in a good way, and I feel super proud of myself by the end of each class - but her classes are also great for beginners because she explains the cues very clearly and tells you how to modify the workout for your level. Also her playlists are THE BEST. As much as I wanted to keep up and follow along, my body could not since it was my first time cycling! And that was ok. I took breaks and rode in the saddle here and there which helped. Can’t wait to do SoulCycle again, especially with a banger Kendrick playlist.

This next comment is not for her, but just for Rumble in general: there should be more coaching on form/technique for the weight lifting, because just a simple instruction at the beginning of each round is probably not enough. I have good training in form but I always worry about people who don't because generally at Rumble classes, there are very few coaching/corrections in real time.

see all reviewsI’ve heard a lot about Barry’s, and I’ve gotten mixed reviews. The instructor was great—she had an amazing voice, strong and powerful, and gave excellent instructions. However, I found the space to be very small. As a bigger guy, I didn’t have much elbow room. I think the size works better for an average-sized person, but for me, it felt a bit cramped. Overall, I’d rate my experience a 6 out of 10, but that has nothing to do with the instructor she was excellent. My rating is more about the structure of the class, which follows Barry’s model. I’m not surprised by my experience because I’ve heard both great and not-so-great things about Barry’s. It seems like one of those workouts that you either love or don’t. I attended the class because I’m interested in opening my own fitness establishment and wanted to see what people were talking about.
