Karina’s flow was really cohesive - dynamic upper back and shoulder activators that then facilitated the heart opening yin poses that came afterwards. I had a really profound release of tension and tons of blood flow to my neck and head (where so much of us hold tension). Really enjoyed Karina’s instruction as well. 10/10 would come again.

ver todas as avaliaçõesNatalie alone was worth the whole class… her voice queues and upbeat yelps and battle cries were so much fun and inspiring to keep going. Loved her focus on form and alignment and encouragement to each person in class. Plus a phenomenal playlist. Huge props.

I felt fully confident that the rigging could take my weight and was so excited to be able to fully participate in the class. Aileen was a great instructor and kept checking in on me and gave me adjustments. I will def be back to get stronger!

This was so relaxing and I didn’t feel pressured to do anything I didn’t want to do in this class. I also loved how I was guided in such a soft way! Thank you Gena! (I hope that’s how you spell it)

I feel like a lot of yoga classes in NYC are super rushed and hectic — focused on generating a “burn” rather than teaching you the movements and providing mental recuperation. ver todas as avaliaçõesThis is not a standard yoga class. And that is a good thing. It is mostly a breathing and meditation class. If you want a regular posing or even restorative class, this is not it. But Rich is truly an expert at the breathing techniques that he teaches. You spend the first half of the class working on stretching your body using tension and body weight, and working on breathing. Breathing technique is in a diaphragmatic style, which can be quite tough to do in the beginning, but if you do your best to keep at it, it ends up being an extremely effective way of releasing tension. After stretching and breathing, the rest of the class is a deep calming form of guided meditation, using music, all done with the headphones provided. This is where the breathing and stretching come together to put you in a state of flow, giving yourself space for a very different and profound meditative state and experience. If you are open-minded and walk in with an open heart, you will have a very special hour, surrounded by people who are also working on bringing their best self. Just go and show up with your real self, no pretense, and you will have a wonderful experience.
