The poses initially looked easy, but Maniam emphasized on where to focus on and then, the pose just felt different (in a good way), you become aware of the “should-be” activated muscles instead of just doing.

Truly enjoyed the session, especially near the end during prayer pose, he mentioned the pose is like “the sun meets the moon” and “the inhale meets the exhale”. Beautiful. It was my first few times trying yoga and he was really clear about the instructions and educational on what exercises I could do to improve my shoulder strength etc. Not the instructors fault at all but I think the studio itself feels a bit noisy because it’s next to the boss’ (?) office…and he was on a Zoom call and it was super noisy. Hope the boss can find soundproofing or something to make it less noisy for the students.

ver todas as avaliaçõesMieke is awesome! She really knows her stuff about yoga, the body, posture and breathing and also read the room well, gauging that a slow flow was preferred! She’s warm, friendly and has such a positive energy. The pace was perfect for me and the other attendee (a friend of mine) with beautiful stretch focused and calming moments as well as sections of flowing. I arrived tired and a bit flat, but left energised, feeling brighter and lighter. Hope to join more of Mieke’s classes in the future.
