It felt so authentic, peaceful and intentional - the opposite of a lot of classes elsewhere that can feel corporatized and like you’re a part of the churn. Emmanuelle has such a calming energy and the hour flew by! I can’t remember how many mats there were but when I went, there were only three other participants so it felt amazingly intimate. The space around the fire outside of the studio was also really cute.

She also gave alternative suggestions for adjustments for our own comfort levels. I was informed by the receptionist that the scent during the class was sandalwood being burned, I thought it might have been incense or essential oils. Near the end of the class Karen did some adjustments for us as we were learning to release our tension. She is very gentle and asks for consent. It was a interesting experience as it was both relaxing and somewhat challenging!
